Windows 7: Disabling System Protection

Sometimes there's a need to turn off the System Restore feature (e.g. such as recovering free space on a drive).  By disabling the System Restore functionality, note it will be permanently deleting all existing restore points from the drive.

Below are the instructions on how to perform this action:

• From the Start menu, select Control Panel
• Select System and Security, and open the System control panel
• In the left pane, click System Protection
• If the UAC is enabled, the administrator credentials will be required.
• Select the drive to disable the System Protection feature.
• Generally feature is enabled on Windows system drive, which in most cases is the C: drive.
• Press the Configure... button, when the System Protection dialog displays, select the Turn off system protection radio button, then press the OK button.
• Press the OK button again to close the last dialog.

Windows 7: Scheduling Your Computer to Shut Down Automatically

Do you leave your computer on for extended periods of time, and would like it if your computer would automatically shut down at a specific time of day.  Follow the instructions below.

• Click the Start button, in the search box, type "scheduled tasks" then click the item in the search results.
• In the Task Scheduler console, in the Actions pane on the right, click "Create Basic Task ...".
• In the Basic Task Wizard dialog, enter a name for task, such as "Shutdown Computer" and include a optional description such as "Shuts down computer at 12:00 a.m. everyday", press the Next button.
• On the Task Trigger page, select "Daily" and press the Next button.
• On the Daily page, enter a start date and time that you want the task to first begin (e.g. 12/1/11 and 12:00 a.m.) and press the Next button.
• On the Action page, select the "Start a Program" and press the Next button.
• On the Start a Program page, in the Program/script field, type:  %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\SHUTDOWN.EXE
• Press the Next button, review the Summary page and press the Finish button.

Based on the task that was defined above Windows will now automatically shut down at 12:00 a.m. each day. Although before it does the system will display a pop-up notification, "Windows will shut down in less than a minute."

Download laju dan pantas guna Internet Download Manager ( IDM )

Kali ni aku nak ajar korang yang taktau macam mana nak download satu2 mende dengan laju.. caranya, kite gune Internet Download Manager (IDM)..

ok, lepas korang download software IDM ni, tiba masa kite install software ni dulu.. jangan main install je, ada cara2 penting aku nak bagitau ni..

mula2 install macam biase software IDM tu.. nama installer IDM tu ialah idman518.exe.. lepas siap install pastikan software tu tak running dalam laptop/pc korang.. kalo running gak, exit the program.. macam mane nak tau? check kat system tray..

orait, lepas siap install, bukak pulak folder crack.. dalam tuh ade 4 menatang.. ok, korang copy IDMan.exe.. kemudian paste dalam Program Files > Internet Download Manager.. REPLACE dengan IDMan.exe yang asal..

lepas siap copy and replace mende hijau tuh, pergi semula ke folder crack.. cuma double click kat RegKey.reg.. tekan OK, dan OK lagi sampai la komputer korang cakap yang dia dah siap masukkan registry tu dalam komputer korang..

dah siap buat sume tuh, bukak IDM korang.. mana nak bukak pandai2 cari.. ok, aku gurau lagi.. start > Internet Download Manager

lepas korang bukak IDM, korang akan nampak seperti gambar kat atas ni.. kemudian koran tekan OPTIONS.. aku dah siap tanda mana nak tekan, takyah tanye aku kat mana nak tekan ok..

lepas tu tekan kat tab CONNECTION.. setting kat sini la paling penting..

• ConnectionType/Speed : korang pilih ikot ape yang korang gune.. macam aku, LAN/10Mbs
• Default max. conn. number: settingkan kepada 16
• tekan kat tab GENERAL plak
• tick kat browser yang korang gune
• tekan OK

ok, dah siap pun.. lepas ni, kalo korang nak download pape, IDM akan popup.. pilih mane nak simpan, then start download.. bagi aku simple je..

kalo boleh jangan la harapkan aku atau orang lain suapkan.. pandai2 la kaji sendiri kalau ada mende nak tanye.. nak tanye boleh, tapi kalo mende tu problem yang simple2, sorry la korang kene kaji sendiri.. rajen2 la wat eksperimen.. nanti takde la korang ketinggalan..

software ni gak boleh buat download video dari YOUTUBE tanpa install software lain.. cube la bukak YOUTUBE, nanti korang akan tau sendiri macam mana..

Install Windows 7

Langkah 1: Boot melalui CD-ROM Windows 7

Switch on komputer dan masukkan CD Windows 7 dalam disc drive. Bila dah tutup cd drive tu, switch-off komputer semula. Lepas tu, switch-on komputer. (proses ini untuk memastikan komputer tu dapat detect cd-rom dalam drive semasa boot.)

Komputer-komputer sekarang ni kebiasaannya memang dah di set di dalam BIOS untuk enable boot melalui CD drive. Jadi semasa start komputer tu, bila ada instruction macam ni kat screen: press any key to boot from CD/DVD... cepat-cepat tekan apa-apa key pada keyboard.

Ada sebahagian jenis komputer memerlukan kita tekan key F12 atau F10 atau F9 untuk kita pilih untuk boot melalui media apa. Biasanya info untuk tekan key aoa, ada di paparkan beberapa saat semasa komputer mula di hidupkan. kalau pada komputer netbook HP 1Malaysia, kita kena tekan F9 untuk pilih media lain contohnya USB pen drive.

Lepas tu komputer akan boot melalui cd-rom Windows setup tersebut.

Langkah 2: Setup Windows 7


Sebaik sahaja berjaya boot melalui CD-ROM, kira dah senang. Cuma perlu ikut arahan pada screen.

Default setting dah macam ni, tekan sahaj butang Next

Tekan butang Install now untuk memulakan install Windows

Tunggu beberapa saat.

Pilih Architecture

 Pasal architecture x86 dan x64 ni, tak usah pening kepala kalau tak tahu apa-apa. Pilih sahaja x86. Satu lagi sebab yang memerlukan anda memilih x86 ialah RAM komputer bawah 4GB dan hard disk kecik atau hampir penuh. Kalau x64 dia perlukan lebih kurang 16GB untuk operating system sahaja. Kalau specs komputer anda super power ranger silalah pilih x64, tapi kalau biasa-biasa aje... pilih x86 sude..

Setuju dengan lesen, dan tekan Next

Pilih Custom (advanced)

 Kalau sebelum ni komputer anda ada operating system Vista, boleh pilih Upgrade. Windows XP tak boleh direct terus upgrade ke Windows 7. Jadi kena pilih Custom(advanced) untuk buat fresh install.

Pilih kat hard disk mana kita nak install Windows 7

 Kalau komputer ada banyak hard disk atau partition, dia akan paparkan kat sini untuk kita buat pilihan.

Kalau nak ubah apa-apa pada hard disk, tekan button Drive options.
Kalau tak nak ubah, boleh tekan Next terus.

Dalam Drive options(advanced)

Kat sinilah kita boleh buat atau delete partition dan format hard disk atau partition. Lepas dah settle, tekan button Next untuk memulakan proses installation. Pada kebiasaannya, akau akan buat dua partition minimum untuk memudahkan kerja backup mengbackup kalau apa-apa jadik. Dalam demo ni, aku tak buat partition.

Windows 7 sedang diinstall

 Bila dah kat sini, bolehlah rilek-rilek sambil makan kuaci. Masa diambil lebih kurang 15-20 minit, bergantung kepada kepoweran komputer anda. Komputer juga akan restart sendiri beberapa kali. Jangan risau, biarkan sahaja sampailah ke gambar kat bawah:

Isilah nama ikut MyKad *hehehe... lepas tu tekan Next

taip password. Ni optional. Kalau tak nak password, terus sahaja
tekan button Next. (Aku malas nak letak password)

Isi product key ('kalau ada') dan tekan Next. Kalau guna pirate,
takyahlah activate dulu.

Aku selalu pilih yang tengah-tengah.

Betulkan time zone.

Pilihan ni kalau komputer anda sedang connected pada network.
Kalau tak nak fikir banyak, pilih sahaja Public Network.
(Benda ni boleh juga diubah kemudian)

Selepas windows retart sekali, dia pun finalizing.

Okay, dah siap pun Windows 7 yang fresh baru dan suci murni.

Langkah 3: Install device driver


Buka device manager, dan cek device mana yang tak ada driver. Gunakan cd-cd atau driver yang kita dapat masa kita beli hardware atau laptop untuk install driver-driver tersebut.

Untuk buka Device Manager, pergi kat Start Menu > Computer dan
klik kanan mouse > klik Properties

Kat Device Manager ni kita boleh periksa perkakas belum siap diinstall (yang mungkin belum ada driver atau mungkin bermasalah). Jadi, cubalah install satu-satu driver yang telah dibekalkan.

Install Windows XP

Berikut merupakan cara-cara mudah bagaimana untuk format komputer anda. Bagi yang sudah mempunyai Windows XP pada komputer sebelum ini, anda disarankan untuk tidak menyimpan data-data penting pada partition utama (biasanya Local disk C) termasuk driver untuk komputer anda kerana semua data akan hilang sekiranya partition tersebut telah diformat. Berikut adalah langkah-langkah untuk format komputer anda;

1. Pertama sekali, anda akan nampak satu skrin dengan mesej “Press any key to boot from CD…”. Tekan apa-apa butang di sini supaya komputer akan mula membaca dari CD Windows XP.
   
2. Perhatikan mesej yang mula-mula keluar, “Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or or RAID driver”. Mesej ini penting sekiranya anda install Windows XP ke atas Hard Disk SATA. Jika ya, tekan F6 dan masukkan disket SATA yang disertakan bersama motherboard anda. Jika tidak, abaikan mesej ini dan teruskan ke langkah 3. (Nota: Sekiranya anda nak install Windows XP kepada Hard Disk SATA tapi tiada disket, ikuti langkah ini)
   
3. “Welcome to Setup” dipaparkan. Tekan ENTER untuk mula install Windows XP.
   
4. “Windows XP Licensing Agreement”. Tekan F8 untuk teruskan.
   
5. Sekiranya Hard Disk anda mempunyai Windows XP, Setup akan bertanya sekiranya anda nak baiki Windows XP yang lama tu. Tekan butang ESC kerana anda nak install Windows XP yang baru.
   
6. Sekiranya Hard Disk anda:
   • masih baru dan belum mempunyai sebarang partition, ikuti langkah 7 hingga 8.
   • tapi jika ia sudah ada partition di dalamnya, teruskan pada langkah 9.

7. Buat satu partition dengan menekan butang C.
   
8. Tentukan saiz partition anda dan tekan ENTER.
   
9. Pilih partition C: untuk install Windows XP. Ingatan sekali lagi: Kalau anda ada fail dan dokumen penting dalam partition C:, buat backup dengan memindahkan data tersebut ke dalam partition D: ataupun ke dalam external hard drive.
   
10. Tekan butang C untuk setuju.
    
11. Pilih NTFS sebagai file system dan tekan ENTER. (p/s Kalau nak cepat pilih NTFS (Quick)
    
12. Tekan butang F untuk format Hard Disk.
    
13. Setup akan mula format Hard Disk dan menyediakan fail bagi proses install Windows XP. Setelah proses ini selesai, komputer anda akan restart dengan sendirinya.
14. Selepas restart, komputer akan install Window XP seperti di bawah.

Install Windows XP

1. Proses install Windows XP bermula. Klik pada butang Next.
   
2. Masukkan nama anda dan klik butang Next.
   
3. Masukkan nombor siri bagi Windows XP dan klik butang Next.
   
4. Masukkan password bagi Administrator dan klik butang Next.
   
5. Dalam ruangan Time Zone, pilih Kuala Lumpur dan klik butang Next.
   
6. Proses Setup telah bermula. Tunggu hingga selesai.
   
7. Sekiranya anda mempunyai Network Card, Setup akan meminta anda membuat pilihan mengenai Network. Klik sahaja pada butang Next sebanyak dua kali.
   
8. Tunggu sehingga keseluruhan proses install Windows XP selesai, dan komputer akan restart sekali lagi.

Mula Menggunakan Windows XP

1. Kali pertama Windows XP dimulakan, screen resolution anda akan diubah mengikut kesesuaian. Klik pada butang OK.
   
2. “Welcome to Microsoft Windows” dipaparkan. Klik pada butang Next.
   
3. Pilih “Not right now” dan tekan butang Next. Anda boleh mengaktifkan kembali Automatic Updates pada kemudian hari.
   
4. Windows akan cuba mengesan sambungan Internet anda. Anda boleh tinggalkan langkah ini dengan menekan butang Next.
   
5. Pilih “No, not at this time” supaya anda tak perlu mendaftar dengan Microsoft. Tekan butang Next.
   
6. Masukkan nama anda dan tekan butang Next.
   
7. Klik pada butang Finish.
   
8. Kini, Windows XP telah siap sedia dipasang dan anda sudah boleh mula menggunakannya.
9. Selepas selesai, bolehlah anda mula install driver-driver yang diperlukan dan seterusnya perisian asas yang anda perlukan.
   
   

Bagi kawan-kawan yang selalu nak format sebab virus, cuba ikut langkah-langkah yang telah yang hitamkaninstall Windows. Senang, kan? Tak perlulah habiskan duit sehingga RM40 (atau mungkin lebih 0.o) untuk menghantar komputer anda ke kedai hanya kerana nak format PC, kerana anda boleh melakukannya sendiri .
